Trick or treat yourself to a Halloween workshop! Since this workshop lands right on Halloween, we’ll have plenty of treats to go around! Costumes are highly encouraged for extra festive fun, just keep in mind that short nails and the ability to more about freely area must! We’ll provide aprons, but recommend wearing something you don't mind getting a little dirty!

This “Make-a-Mug” workshop at Hands On Pottery is the ideal way to experience what it’s like to create something out of clay. You will learn how to make a mug by hand in one session! We will show you how to transform lumps of clay into a spooky mug masterpiece.

This special halloween edition will feature spooky stamps, rollers, and texture tools - create your favourite spooky mug to use for years to come!

Once you’ve finished making your mug, you can choose the colour of glaze and you’ll have your finished handmade mug within 3-4 weeks, once we’ve glazed and fired it in the kiln!

Please note that this is a hand-building class and does not involve using a potter’s wheel. You can sign up for one-night wheel workshops here!

Ages 12 and up are welcome! All attendees under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Cancellations, Rescheduling & Missed Classes

All cancellations or rescheduling requests are subject to a fee of $15 per participant regardless of when cancellation or rescheduling happens. Gift certificates are non-refundable.

CANCELLING or RESCHEDULING outside of 7 days: Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to your class or workshop to be eligible for rebooking or a refund. Refunds will only be issued if you notify us via email at least seven days prior to your class or workshop. A $15 fee per participant will be applied. 

CANCELLING or RESCHEDULING within 7 days: No refunds will be provided for any cancellations within 7 days. If you must cancel your reservation within 7 days of your class or workshop, we ONLY offer a credit to reschedule if we are able to fill your spot(s). A $15 fee per participant will be applied.

MISSED WORKSHOPS & CLASSES - we are unable to offer make-up workshops & classes due to administrative logistics and capacity limitations in our studio. We are unable to offer refunds or credits for missed workshops & classes.

In the event that we do not meet our minimum registration requirements 5 days prior to the workshop, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule – students will be notified via email. Registrants will have the option to receive a full refund or a credit to attend a future workshop at no additional cost.

Picking Up your Finished Pieces

Your pieces will be ready for pick-up 3-4 weeks after the workshop. You will have 3 weeks to collect all of your pots after the pick up email has been sent. If you have not come to get them in that time they will be donated.

Health & Safety Protocols

Given the close proximity and nature of teaching pottery, we will do what we feel is best to keep our staff safe while they are at work. If you are exhibiting signs of being sick, please refrain from coming to your class – you may be asked to leave the studio, or wear a mask if you are coughing, sneezing or have a runny nose. Our cancellation and rescheduling policy will still apply.
