Family Make-a-Mug! – May 18th, 3:00pm-5:30pm

Family Make-a-Mug! – May 18th, 3:00pm-5:30pm
Hands On Pottery is excited for the return of our Family Day Clay Workshops!
Our one-session workshops at Hands On Pottery are the ideal way to experience what it’s like to create something out of clay, and share the experience with your family. You will learn the hand-building technique called “slab-building”. You will be taught how to use large flat “sheets” of clay to create a one-of-a-kind mug or cup! Once you’ve finished making your mug, you will choose the glaze colour and our team will do the rest. Your finished handmade mug will be ready to be picked up within 3-4 weeks, following the glazing and kiln firing process!
Please note that this is a hand-building class and does not involve using a potter’s wheel. You can sign up for one-session workshops here.
This workshop is friendly for all ages! Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
With a 2.5-hour timeframe, there’s zero rush to finish! While we offer a longer session to accommodate older kids and detailed designs, younger crafters are welcome to 'flutter' away as soon as their pieces are done.
Prices:
$85 for one Guardian and one child under 16.
$25 for each additional child under 16.
$65 for each additional person over the age of 16.
