Bring your team, family and friends to our studio and share in the fun of creating with clay. We can accommodate up to 24 participants spread out over four large 4’x8’ canvas covered tables.

The workshop is around two and half hours long. We’ll start with a quick studio tour/registration. Followed by demonstrations on how to create something out of clay using hand-building techniques. Our team of instructors will guide you through the process from a lump of clay to a finished masterpiece. Lastly, everyone will pick their favourite glaze colour and our team will complete the process. Your pieces will be ready in about three weeks.

These workshops are great for team-building, birthday celebrations, stag & staggetes, or just a great way to spend time with family and friends.

Private Events can be scheduled any day of the week. However, our studio is a busy place and we recommend booking at least a month in advance if possible. Please email us with your preferred dates and times – info@handsonpottery.ca

Workshop options are based on the technique we will teach you. Everyone will complete their own piece however, everyone will be making similar items using the same technique. Project options entail all handbuilding workshops we offer. Including: Make-a-Mug, Planter, Vase, Fairy Houses, Butter Dishes, Curio Shelves, Book-end Planters, Kitchen Set, and more! Costs are based on the number of participants:

4 - 7 participants $575

8 - 12 participants $750

13- 17 participants $1050

18 - 24 participants $1425

Cancellations, Rescheduling & Private Event Policy 

To secure your private event date, full payment is required at the time of booking. Gift certificates and event deposits are non-refundable.

CANCELLING outside of 2 weeks: Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to your scheduled event date are eligible for a 50% refund of the total booking cost. 

CANCELLING within 2 weeks: No refunds will be issued for any cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled event.

RESCHEDULING outside of 2 weeks: Rescheduling requests made more than 14 days prior to your event will be accommodated subject to studio availability, incurring a flat $75 administrative fee. 

RESCHEDULING within 2 weeks: Rescheduling is not permitted within 14 days of the event date.

MISSED & INCOMPLETE EVENTS 

We are unable to offer partial refunds, credits, or make-up studio time for individual guests who are unable to attend or miss the scheduled event time.

Picking Up Your Finished Pieces 

Your group’s finished pieces will be ready for pick-up 3-4 weeks after the event. You will have 3 weeks to collect all of your pots once the pick-up notification email has been sent. Any pieces remaining after this period will be donated.

Health & Safety Protocols 

Given the close proximity and nature of teaching pottery, we prioritize keeping our staff and guests safe. If anyone in your group is exhibiting signs of illness, please refrain from attending—guests displaying active symptoms (coughing, sneezing, or a runny nose) may be asked to wear a mask or leave the studio. Standard cancellation and rescheduling terms apply.
