Make-a-Handbuilt Butter Dish - Saturday, September 19th - 2:30pm-5:00pm
Hands On Pottery presents, Make-a-Handbuilt Butter Dish! This one-sesison workshop is a great way to experience what it’s like to create something out of clay using a technique called “slab building”.
You will learn how to make your ceramic butter dish out of slabs of clay in one session! We will guide you through the process – using templates, textures, and adding handles to create your very own butter dish - complete with plate and cloche.
Once you’ve finished making your butter dish, you will choose the colour of glaze and our team will complete the glazing and firing process. Your finished handmade ceramic butter dish will be ready within 3-4 weeks. (We’ll email you when it’s ready.)
Please note that this is a hand-building class and does not involve using a potter’s wheel. You can sign up for one-night wheel workshops here!
Ages 12 and up are welcome! All attendees under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
If you are a group of 5 or more, please contact us about booking a private event
